TThe fruit for this wine is hand-picked from our estate plantings. The wine is named after Val and HarryFriend’s first grandson Isaac Friend. The cool 2023 season has produced an excellent cool climate styleshiraz with an intense palate of blackberry fruit, with obvious black pepper on the nose and spiceyFrench oak. Fermented by wild yeasts, this is a lovely shiraz, which will repay cellaring for 8 years ormore.
2023 Isaac Reserve Shiraz
Colour: Dense and vibrant blackberry with crimson edges
Bouquet: Blackberry with black olive, black pepper, a touch of nutmeg and cedary French oak
Flavour: Blackberry with black olive, a touch of clove, hints of earth and spicy French oak
Texture: Fine tannins and good acidity carry through to a long, beautifully balanced finish
Alcohol: 13.8%
