Very aromatic characteristics, with descriptors such as citrus, herbs, orange peel and even a touch of licorice have been noted.  Axel achieved this by a judicious selection of botanicals, which were steeped in the gin before its first distillation. 
 
Another very obvious characteristic is the very appealing colour which in the right light, reflects flashes of crimson.  This is the result of Axel’s wish to enhance the colour while at the same time adding some interesting notes to its flavour profile.  He has achieved this result by using some lush berries of pinot noir, sourced from our vineyard, which were steeped in the gin.
